Whatever the reason for odd size mattresses, Clinton Bedding has the experienced craftsmen with the knowledge needed to satsify your custom needs.
In addition to the more common needs for odd size mattresses (such as Antique Beds, Platform Beds, Houseboats, Yachts, Cabin Cruisers, RV's, Campers, Horse Trailors or Sleepers in Tractor Trailors) there are a variety of other reasons you may be considering an odd size mattress. As an example you may need a custom sized mattress with unusually large dimensions in width or length, or perhaps you are looking for an odd shaped mattress such as a round, pre-shaped, or heart-shaped mattress.
Clinton Bedding has a base of 15 models to provide a wide range of comfort levels. All of these models are available in plush top or with the additional double pillow top. This means your odd size mattress can be tailored to any comfort level. As the basis for your odd size mattress your first step is to select the comfort level appropriate for your appreciation.
There are a number of factors to consider when designing and choosing your odd or custom size mattress. A very important factor is the amount of usage the mattress will receive - every night sleep versus occasional use (such as a guest room) versus use only as a decorative showpiece may dictate the choice of different materials to be used. Another consideration is the size and weight of the individual who will be sleeping on the odd size mattress. As an example, a mattress will wear at a much different rate under the size and weight of an NFL defensive lineman, a seven-foot NBA center versus a petite teenage gymnast or an elderly grandmother. Very different components could be used in each of these situations to achieve a suitable level for your custom comfort mattress.
Clinton Bedding can custom size your mattress selection to fit your particular requirement. You can e-mail us or call us at 1-800-822-2337 with your measurements and any question you may have.
- To build your odd size mattress there are several measurements and pieces of information we require: We need the exact opening of the bed as measured from the inside rail to inside rail where the foundation sits. This will give us the width.
- Then measure from headboard to footboard on the plane where the foundation rests. This will provide us with length.
- Are there any height restrictions? The height should be measured from the point where the foundation rests on the side rails vertical to the highest point of the footboard. This will determine how thick the mattress set should be overall.
- If you are looking directly down into the bedstead. are there any obstructions which would interfere with the placement of the bedding? An example of this would be a poster bed where the posts potrude into the area where the box spring foundation rests. This can be accommodated by creating a notched corner. With these dimensions we can design an odd size mattress to match any need.
